The other day, Maddi asked me when she could get a bra.
Me: Um, probably when you're about 13.
Maddi: Well when I'm 13 I am going to get a push-up
Me: Where did you hear about push-ups?
Maddi: One time when you were going to buy a bra, the lady asked you if you wanted a push-up, and you said no, but when I get a bra, I AM going to get a push-up.

It's so funny the stuff they file away and think about and choose to care about.

In much sadder boob news, early this morning, a friend of mine lost her battle with breast cancer. She was a wonderful woman, married with 2 small children ages 5 and 3. She went in peace while in her own bed in her home. She fought long and hard with cancer, and now she is with God, may she rest in peace.

Remind your mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins and friends to do regular self checks. Women over 40 should be reminded to get a mammogram at least every 2 years.

The Susan G. Komen organization is a wonderful resource and fundraiser for breast cancer. One of Meghan's friends is currently participating in a Race for the Cure event. Click to donate. Do it in memory of my friend, Sharolynne. Or in honor or memory of someone close to you who has dealt with breast cancer.
