I am going to start with a disclaimer: I love my husband very much - he is an awesome husband and father!
With that out of the way - Why is it that when I give the kids a bath the bathroom ends up cleaner then when I started?? Really I dont expect it to be sparkling when he is done but does it have to be a total disaster?
I am not perfect but I try to multi-task, I will admit that sometimes I loose track of the thing I started with, but that is not for a lack of trying! When I give the kids a bath, I try to pick up a little, clear off the sink, pick up the millions of little pieces of toilet paper that somehow manage to decorate the floor, you know just the little stuff. Sometimes I get ambitious and clean the toilet or Windex the mirror. Either way the bathroom is always cleaner by the time the kids are done soaking.
Tonight I had a softball game, and even in the awesome shape I am in I was a little sore when I got home. So I asked Ryan to please give the kids a bath, which since I usually do it during the day he has not done in about 6 months, now I remember why! I went in after they were done it looked as though the linen closet, the sink, the toy basket and the medicine cabinet had been threw hurricane Katrina. I use that analogy because not only was everything spewed all over the place, but everything was wet! There were 4 towels out, not including the 2 the kids were wrapped in, there was toys all over the sink, floor and tub, AND my luffa was on the floor next to the toilet (yes i will be getting a new one)! AAAAAAAAAAA - Good grief -
So I ask, is it worth asking for help when it really just causes more work in the long run?
